Willesden Area Guide


Willesden is situated in North West London in the London Borough of Brent, 5 miles North West of Charing Cross containing the postcodes of NW2 and NW10.  The area is well connected via road, rail and bus. These transport links – in particular the underground station - have helped to transform Willesden from a quiet village into a much more vibrant town. Willesden is very popular with all age ranges who appreciate the good transport links to the town, and also the variety of restaurants and nightlife that have appeared in recent years.


What businesses does Willesden suit?

Businesses that require a well connected location along with good entertainment provisions should consider relocating to Willesden. Transport

Willesden Green tube station is on the Jubilee line and offers rapid transport to Waterloo, one of the underground’s busiest tube stations and the mainline link to much of the South West. Many of the city’s important tube stations are also close by. Willesden Junction tube station is also close-by and has Bakerloo and Overground links.

Eating

Willesden has some great gastropubs along with a handful of upmarket restaurants offering worldly cuisines. Sushi-Say (33b Walm Lane, London, NW2 5SH) serves up good quality sushi at high end prices, but it is well worth the premium. Alternatively, Shish (2-6 Station Parade, London,NW2 4NH) offers cuisine based on Central Asian, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern influences. The Afghan chicken is particularly good.


Going Out

Tony’s (356-360 High Road, Willesden, London, NW10 2EG) is an Irish-themed pub with two bars, both of which serve a great range of beers. Both bars have large screens that showcase football and horse racing. Bar-wise, Lulas (50 High Road, London NW10 2PU) is a trendy hotspot with friendly staff and reasonable food. You could also check out No 8 (305 High Rd, Willesden, London, NW10 2JT) for its comfortable atmosphere, complete with air conditioning and pool competition, and attractive cocktail menu. If you want to continue your night, Club Chaos (47A Station Road, Brent Park, London, Greater London, NW10 4UP) would be a good choice.


Local Attractions

Abbey Road Studios, Willesden Abbey Road Studios
Known as the studios where The Beatles famously recorded most of their hits, Abbey Road is one of the most well-known buildings in the British music industry. Although the inside is not open to the public, people still crane their heads to get good views of the outside.


The Brent Museum
Formerly the Grange Museum of Community History, the Brent Museum contains hundreds of items of history including the Olympic torch from the 1948 Olympic Games and signed football from 1966, when England won the World Cup.
